Looking for a moment of peace, reflection, and connection? You are warmly invited to join our monthly Taizé prayers at the Paradijskerk in Rotterdam.
Taizé prayers are peaceful, meditative gatherings inspired by the ecumenical monastic community of Taizé in France. They include silence, simple chants, scripture readings, and quiet contemplation. The focus is on inner peace, unity, and openness.
This peaceful, meditative prayer is held in English, with a few songs and readings also in Dutch. You can sit on the floor at the front of the church or take a seat in the pews. Feel free to bring your own stool if you like! After the service, feel free to stay for a drink and conversation in the coffee room.
Everyone is welcome, no matter your background, beliefs, or experience with Taizé- prayers. Come as you are. All are welcome.
When and where?
Taizé prayers take place monthly on Fridays at the Paradijskerk. They start at 8PM and last about one hour. To see the next scheduled prayer, please check our agenda.
